“How Microsoft has impacted your life and how you plan to bring a change to the society being a Microsoft Student Associate?”

It must be ten years ago, when I was first introduced to PCs in school. The whole and sole use of PCs


that time was just for widening the horizons of my imagination through MS Paint. That was the first time when I got acquainted to MICROSOFT. That time the only equation on mind was " PCs=Microsoft ".Right from the amazing blue sky with a window to the MS Paint and MS word, it was Microsoft which gave PCs a very important place in our inquisitive little minds. And then this journey with Microsoft never stopped.

Since then, Microsoft has played a very important role in exploring and sustaining myself in this vast technical world. It has been a sole and trustworthy mentor right from high school when I first created my Student’s DreamSpark account. That is when Microsoft started shaping the future of students like me by providing the professional tools, free of cost.

Being a Microsoft technology fan, a long wait of nearly 3 years for the Windows Phone 8 LUMIA series, was not futile. It was actually a moment of sheer happiness when I bought my first phone, LUMIA 925. Buying a windows phone when the world was blindly running after ANDROID phones was one of the important decisions I made, which made me stand out differently in the crowd. This love for Windows phones led me to develop windows app “Camera Tricks-Cheats” http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=f55aa745-1c3f-4586-a358-212daafcd503 and this helped me with my pre-final year project as well, which was appreciated by myprofessors.

As Bill Gates has said, "The advance of technology is based on making it fit in so that you don't really even notice it, so it's part of everyday life." And certainly the Microsoft technologies have become an inevitable part of the lives of techno geeks like me. This inspired me to promote the use of free services which Microsoft has offered to students and I have helped more than 50 students to register for the DreamSpark project and today, they are successfully making use of it for their progress.

This enthusiasm in students was rightly noticed by the Microsoft and hence with ' Microsoft Student Associate Program' they have been successful in giving a very apt platform for us to contribute a bit for the betterment of society. And here once again the Microsoft will fulfill my deep rooted wish of contributing and bringing a positive change to the society if I become a Microsoft Student Associate. MSA would be a platform for me to help Microsoft reach the rural areas in India and help in quenching the thirst of children by providing q

uality education and computer knowledge. The MSA program would also give me a chance to help every small start-up businessman to automate his business which would give them a stage to go the globe with latest technologies like Azure Cloud.

I would love to bring the local students and technology enthusiasts to come together and have open discussions about the emerging technologies, their pros and cons. Also, I would like to establish communication between the aspiring students and the successful entrepreneurs in this industry. The MSA program will provide me the stage to spread technical awareness by representing Microsoft in various technical festivals arranged by the Engineering Colleges in the locality and inspire more and more students to register for the Dream-Spark program.

Lastly working with Microsoft and being a MSA would be a dream come true and a big stage to explore(burgeon)myself as well as ameliorate the technical world around me !!
